Hosted by Amjad Ali! What Every Teacher Should Know
Amjad Ali is a national speaker around SEND and teaching and learning. In his session, What Every Teacher Should Know, you will focus on how to build relationships, adapt practice and meet the needs of the students in your class. By taking this day course, you will become a more knowledgeable and skilled educator.
There will also be opportunity to network, learn from peers and get takeaways from one of education's most sought-after speakers.
You’ve likely come across Amjad at some of the country's largest Teachmeets, or running workshops and keynotes at educational events. A well accomplished CPD trainer, he’s delivered to over 250 schools and 1000s of students.
Additionally, Amjad runs Try this Teaching, a toolkit for all educators to enhance the learning of their students.

De-escalate challenging situations
Team Teach, delivered by trained facilitator Alex Matthews, is evidence-based training, putting the individual at the centre of every decision. Team Teach training transforms relationships, equipping everyone to manage distressed behaviours and conflicts safely and respectfully.
Over the course of two days of accredited Team Teach training, you will learn how to tailor training solutions to the needs of the individual, giving you the confidence and strategies you need to de-escalate challenging situations and reduce the need for physical intervention. Opogo covers the cost of this important training, so that more educators can benefit.
N.B. To complete Team Teach you must be able to attend both days.

Phil Denton
A former headteacher, senior leader, pastoral leader, subject lead and classroom teacher. Author of the best-selling book, ‘The First 100 Days’. Has also written and been published in SecEd and TES on several occasions.
Tim Howarth
Tim Howarth is an expert in recruitment and growth, with a decade of experience in the education sector. As Sales Director for The North, with a special focus on Stoke-on-Trent, he’s responsible for taking Opogo's mission of "flexible working for all" to the schools and educators of the region.
Alex Matthews
Alex Matthews, Commercial Director at Opogo, has 17 years educational experience, as a teacher and a workforce planning partner, and is an accredited Team Teach trainer. His passion is tackling the retention crisis in education, through technology and social enterprise.
