The education sector is under immense pressure with school closures and an uncertain return date for pupils and staff. What is clear, when schools do return they will need a huge amount of help to carry out mass COVID-19 testing on pupils on a weekly basis.

Simply put, there is a huge amount of work available for you to cover.

Training is FREE, quick and safe

To become a COVID-19 Rapid tester you are required to complete the NHS COVID-19 National Testing Programme. Training is FREE, quick and carried out online from the comfort of your own home. Complete training takes just 35min – 2hrs 30min depending on the role.

Please note: New Members to Opogo are also required to supply the standard safeguarding documents (DBS and References etc…)

Roles

Quality Lead/ Team Leader

Responsible for the overall on-site operations at the test site, including day-to-day workforce management. Ensure quality assurance, incidents, risks mitigation across the testing service.

Test Assistant

Provides guidance and supervision to subjects on swabbing as requested. Collects completed swabs and pass them to the Processor. Ensures cleaning of swabbing bays.

Processor

Prepares test samples for analysis, conducts processing of LFD and interprets results. Provides results to Results Recorder. Ensures cleaning of processing bays.

Complete the following five steps to get NHS trained.

  1. Decide which role you want to train for; Test Assistant, Processor or Team Leader (please note: you can do more than one).

  2. Complete the training modules relevant to your chosen role. You can access the training portal here; Training Portal

  3. Click on “Need to register” and input the token 3wkcVi4UTX and click Next. Follow the steps on screen to complete set up of a new account.

  4. Upon passing the assessment, download the pass certificate and send it to us.

  5. You’re now ready to work! Set your availability calendar in the Opogo app.
